Abstract
The ECB is the central bank for the Euro and therefore one of the key sources for information about the currency and EMU. They have complete information about the bank itself, how it is organised and how responsibilities are shared within the member countries. Details are given as to how this new central bank will fit into the European System of Central Banks (ESCB). Plenty of further information is available in the form of press releases, publications and text from key speeches. There are numerous documents relating to the European Monetary Institute. Abstract
The European Movement Ireland is an independent voluntary organisation, which exists to promote the economic, political and social development of Europe and Ireland's place in Europe. There are two parts to the Euro section: (1) A text entitled "The Euro- A single currency for Europe" which has information on the impact of EMU, stability and growth pact, sovereignty, prices and the new currency. (2) Questions and answers on the Euro such as "What are the objectives of a single currency?" and "What is happening in the preparation period?".
